Do you have important ideas that can help change the world?
Do you experience working on social issues while also building a profitable business?
Be Rad Media wants to hear from you!
I’m always looking for inspiring stories to help other social entrepreneurs gain confidence in their vision and learn from our stories. Your story matters. Tell it.
I’m not new to story pitches, and I’m not afraid to write a really honest response to yours. For that reason, please be very thoughtful when sending in ideas for the Be Rad Media blog.
Here a few guidelines:
1. Show me you’re a good writer
I’m happy to provide feedback on style, grammar, and organization. That said, do your best to impress me by sending me a high-quality pitch that shows you a) know how to write, and b) are the right person to contribute this article.
2. Give my readers something to care about
The best part of any story is the emotional connection. Be real, share your truth, and have an educated opinion. Back up your claims with science and academic research, but also be intuitive and share why people should care.
3. DO NOT send me your sales pitch
The Be Rad Media blog is not a place to sell your programs and services. Hopefully your awesome content and original ideas naturally lead people to learn more about you. Send me a sales pitch for your business and expect to either never hear back or to get a nicely worded rejection letter.
The nitty gritty
- Articles should be between 500-1,200 words.
- Use subheadings, lists, and images to break up blocks of text.
- Reference all claims and statistics. You can include a link to the source or use footnotes.
- Include a short bio.
Your story matters! But, be thoughtful, spend the necessary time, and ensure you clearly articulate what it is you want to say.
That’s all. Now, fill this thing out if you’re ready to write for the Be Rad Media blog.
